EVERYTHING

Everything happens for a reason...we have all heard this and even said this once or twice in our own lives. However sometimes we fail to remember that the 'Everything' we are talking about will happen on His time, not ours. It is so liberating to hand over all of our worries about the in life to God. Anything and Everything will happen on His time, and exactly how He has planned it. So my advice this Monday morning, sit back, relax, let go of the reigns, and enjoy 'EVERYTHING' God has already placed in your life.....the rest, well, the rest will work out just perfectly!

It is so interesting to think of how 'Everything' worked out in my own life....as much as I like to take credit for at least some of my happiness, I really never planned on my life turning out this way. And if my life truly turned out the way I PLANNED, well all I know is that I would not have these beautiful faces to wake up to every morning!

Change

This summer is flying by, and there are a lot of changes happening in our house. First of all, we decided to give our dog away. Yankee was a big part of our lives for two years, and he taught me a lot. He taught me how the word 'no' can eventually be interpreted to mean 'yes' if overused. He taught me to never leave money out because it will be eaten. And most importantly he taught me that I am (and probably will never be) a dog person. I feel aweful saying this, but as much as I tried to tolerate our dog, I just did not have the patience or the energy. Someone very close to me asked me why I would keep something or someone in my life that causes that much stress. These were very wise words that I decided to finally live by. Although I realize all you 'dog people' reading this are thinking, ' you made a committment to that dog when you chose to bring him into our family'. Well, you are absolutely right, but I have a bigger committment to my family and I was getting too angry and stressed out over our dog....so the only think left to do was say good bye to Yankee Doo Dah:(.

The other big change is that Paul has decided to go back to school full time this coming spring which means he will be leaving his current job and working part time. He has decided he wants to go back to school for teaching and coaching. This has always been a passion of his, but he put it on the back burner because He didn't think the money was worth it to go back to school and then live off of a teacher's salary. Well, teachers may not make what they deserve, but it will be a very rewarding job and that is worth way more than any paycheck. Paul will be an amazing teacher, and I could not be more excited that he has finally discovered what he wants to do with his life. We are excited, but a little nervous about this big change. I know if we work hard and keep our faith then we will be just fine. Paul and I have been very fortunate to not have to worry a lot about money. We have worked really hard and have been able to earn a a decent living. I think these next few years will really humble us and I can't wait to see how God will work in our lives and hopefully strengthen our relationship with each other and strengthen our faith in God and in His plan. Change is scary, but without change we would not grow!!

Maryland Vacation

BEACH BUMS
Our trip to Maryland could not have gone better. Besides having BEAUTIFUL weather every day, Kinley got to meet a big part of her extended family for the first time and Hunter got to catch up with some of his favorite people .

Hunter enjoyed digging and being buried in the sand

As well as learning to boogie board and body surf

Miss Kinley hung out either in my sling, in her tent or under the umbrella!!!

Hunter also enjoyed riding the Motor Bike with Pop and 'little Ry-Ry'

We ate tons of great food while at the beach, but my favorite was when we got Crabs at the my Aunt's restaurant. Besides enjoying DELICIOUS food, it was so cool because they had a plaque outside in memory of my Pop-Pop:)

I was so impressed with how well my kids did being on the beach all day. We all had so much fun and can't wait to visit again!!!!!!!!!!!
